A 200-year-old Mongolian mummified monk who was discovered sitting in
the lotus position is not actually dead, but in a deep meditation called
"tukdam." This is according to Professor Ganhugiyn Purevbat, founder of
The Mongolian Institute of Buddhist Art, regarding the ancient
tradition of Buddhist lamas. The preserved remains are now under
forensic examination. We take a look at the discovery, in this Lip News
clip with Mark Sovel and Elliot Hill.
