Google is hard at work on the next iteration of Android, known around the campus as “Kit Kat.” As is tradition at Google, they redraft the logo so that it resembles the sweet foodstuff that the OS is named after (Ice Cream Sandwich, Donut, Cupcake, etc.) They also have a statue made out of it and put on their lawn because Google makes billions of dollars, so suck it. And, of course, they post an unveiling video on YouTube, which is where the fun begins.
The Leak
Unfortunately, one Google employee decided to use his fancy new Google device to take a photo. And that Google device is something we haven’t seen before. Note that the Nexus logo is written so that it reads horizontally, which isn’t unlike the new Nexus 7. It’s not like we saw a detailed demonstration of the device; it’s just a guy taking a picture. On the other hand, it seems unlikely that was custom gear. Especially since Google did the whole “confirming without confirming” dance.
